FEBRUARY 12, 2018 – Celebrations take place at Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP), a northern California prison, after inmate Ricardo Bernal makes Amazons TOP 50 bestsellers list, in the Self-Help genre, for his recently released book, Think of Thinking. A New Thought guide that lays out working, tested, trusted, and simplified instructions for a guaranteed life full of great health, extraordinary wealth, and unbelievable happiness.

Though a prisoner, Ricardo Bernal has been an in intrinsic part to the New Thought Movement by teaching, inspiring, and motivating his peers and correctional staff, for years, with the principles that he now reveals in this little treasure, Think of Thinking. Moreover, with the same selfless disposition that allows him to reveal the secret to prosperity, Ricardo Bernal has pledged ‘ALL’ of his profits to this book, for the entire first year of sales, to the Special Olympics. Bernal had this to say: “Honestly, I’ve got to give credit to Joe Lizarraga [Warden] and Eddie Escobar [Community Partnership Manager] for allowing the ILTAG’s [Inmate Leisure Time Activity Group] an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for wonderful causes such as the Special Olympics. A cause that touches me, personally. And, evidently, happens to be a favorite charity among the three of us. Which is part of why they inspire me. So, in turn, I make every attempt to motivate and inspire all who I come in contact with every day.  I believe it is my duty and obligation to do so. And I wouldn’t have it any other way because I LOVE MY PEERS.”

Bernal’s ‘words’ are backed by ‘actions.’ He has demonstrated this, in part, by writing his now successful book, Think of Thinking. So we shouldn’t be surprised that he has always been a model prisoner, with an impeccable record, remaining displinary free, and maintaining exceptional work supervisory reports. In addition, he has always shown a dedication to charitable fundraisers, even running in EVERY marathon benefitting the Special Olympics since he has been at MCSP. It seems only natural for Bernal to donate ‘ALL’ his profits to such a cause. “This is my way to give back. Another step towards making my amends and I have to thank Joe Lizarraga, Eddie Escobar, and all of MCSP staff for fostering an environment that allows for such growth, self-improvement and opportunities to give back and make a difference. Thank you.”
